On Windows, after installing Zed using
winget, it automatically registers itself as the default editor for.jsonfiles. This changes my system's default file association for this type without my explicit consent. In contrast, when I install Visual Studio Code using
winget, it does not automatically take over the.jsonfile association. This difference in behavior is disruptive, as I have to manually revert the file association for
.jsonfiles after each Zed installation or update. I would prefer Zed to respect my existing default application for.jsonfiles, similar to how VS Code behaves when installed viawinget.Beta Was this translation helpful? Give feedback.
