Hey! My name is Robert, a Security Software Engineer from Canada.
- π± I am currently working on CourseFull, an app that lets students keep track of their goals, not just their grades!
- π I am also working on sharpening my penetration testing skills through bug bounties.
- π I am currently learning GraphQL, both from a development and offensive security perspective.
- β‘ In my free time, I train Muay Thai, work on side projects, get involved with the Lancer community, and
- π¬ Ask me about password managers, IAM, secure development, or anything else in cybersecurity!
- π« How to reach me: LinkedIn or see the Contact Page on my website!
- π Pronouns: He/Him, They/Them
- β‘ Fun fact: I got into security because I pitched a startup that never would have gotten off the ground in a million years!
- All except Assembly
Jokes aside, I'm capable of learning a lot in a short period of time!
That said, every craftsman has his favourite tools -- here are mine.
Languages
- Rust
for high-performance, memory-safe apps.
- Python
for rapid prototypes and all things security.
- TypeScript
for all things front end.
- SQL (specifically PostgreSQL
) for wrangling data in a way that few other languages can.
- Bash
for scripts that will work on just about every UNIX system.
Tools
- Svelte
for building web app clients with a buttery smooth API.
- React/NextJS
for building web app clients with some more community support.
- FastAPI
for drafting APIs in record time with Python.
- Linux
because owning your operating system is awesome.
- DigitalOcean
for cloud hosting without too many extras.
- AWS
for robust cloud hosting and the best supported set of services out there.
- Azure
for its Sentinel Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) and integrated query language.
- Supabase
because managing all your own authentication and database work is . . . ow.
- Burp Suite for when dev tools do not cut it for ethical hacking.
- Docker
for consistent app deployments, every time, in every environment.
Thanks for reading to the end. If you want to get in touch, check my contact info in the About Me section!
