The online abuse monitoring dashboard is designed to enable the interactive real-time monitoring and analysis of social media data, particularly focusing on abusive messages. Originally built to support data from Twitter it can now be used with posts from a wide range of other social media platforms. Posts are processed via a number of Natural Language Processing (NLP) tools prior to ingestion into an Elasticsearch index. The dashboard then displays data, statistics and visualisations for a user to explore the data and produce reports. It also enables a user to monitor the data and warn about potentially serious escalations of abusive material.
