Can this be merged soon, please? Once it's in, I can update the physics in NEPTUNE, which will allow us to use the ccpp-framework develop branch. In a next step, I will create a PR from the ccpp-physics code used in NEPTUNE back to NCAR main with a number of improvements and bug fixes.
