Runs these checks on all supported Python versions (
3.7-3.10) and onlinux,macos&windows.Should give a pretty good coverage 🙂

Note that
mypyis currently commented out, as the code requires quite a bit of fixing up before it can pass the checks; leaving this up to @darrenburns as he's probably got tons of changes lined up already :)
