Summary of Changes

Hello @lutzroeder, I'm Gemini Code Assist1! I'm currently reviewing this pull request and will post my feedback shortly. In the meantime, here's a summary to help you and other reviewers quickly get up to speed!

This pull request introduces enhancements to the JAX export serialization schema by embedding a distinct file identifier and a recommended file extension. These additions aim to streamline the identification and management of serialized JAX export files, contributing to a more robust and user-friendly experience when working with exported JAX models.

Highlights

  • File Identifier: A unique file identifier, "JAXE", has been added to the JAX export serialization schema. This helps in quickly identifying files generated using this schema.
  • File Extension: A default file extension, "jax_exported", has been specified within the serialization schema. This provides a standard extension for serialized JAX export files.

Code Review

This pull request adds a file_identifier and file_extension to the FlatBuffers schema for JAX export serialization. This is a good addition for improving the type safety of serialized artifacts. However, the PR is incomplete as it only updates the schema file. To make this change effective, the generated Python code needs to be updated, and the serialization and deserialization logic must be modified to use the new file identifier. I've left a detailed comment on the change explaining the necessary follow-up work.
