Thanks for your work on this 👍 Could you please also add a Changelog entry for this change? As this is a major version change, the next release should be a 5.0.0. Regarding the test failures, we need to drop EOL Python 3.8 (however in a separate PR). |

TinyMCE 6.x is no longer supported; upgrade to the latest version (7.8.0, released 2025-04-09).

I've done a bit of testing, and the editor seems to be working as it did before. Some third-party plugins may need updating, but the API changes appear very minor.
