React + TypeScript + Vite Frontend

Setup

Ensure you have the following installed:

• Bun
• Node

1. Clone repo
2. Cd into repo:

cd misinfodetector-frontend

3. Install dependencies

bun install

5. Run:

bun run dev

Follow terminal output to frontend (default: http://localhost:5173)

Environment Variables

Create a .env file in the root directory with:

VITE_API_URL=http://localhost:5000

The API URL defaults to http://localhost:5000 if not set. All environment variables must be prefixed with VITE_ to be accessible in the browser.

Currently, two official plugins are available:

• @vitejs/plugin-react uses Babel (or oxc when used in rolldown-vite) for Fast Refresh
• @vitejs/plugin-react-swc uses SWC for Fast Refresh

React Compiler

The React Compiler is enabled on this template. See this documentation for more information.

Note: This will impact Vite dev & build performances.

Expanding the ESLint configuration

If you are developing a production application, we recommend updating the configuration to enable type-aware lint rules:
