That sep= metadata seems interesting. Has there been any effort to standardize it or is it just an Excel-specific feature? I'd be a little worried about breaking compatibility with parsers, so we should do some research to see what support for it is like.

Hey, not sure whether it has been standardized or not, but by default it is not written in the file. If you want it there, you must turn it on throw the sendMetadata options.
