The new GPU stream passes in the new GPU backend as part of my master's thesis.
They make GPU stream usage explicit in the SDFG: each operation that requires a GPU stream is assigned one at the SDFG level, shifting this responsibility out of the GPU backend.
Below is the effect of the new passes shown - starting with the left SDFG, the new passes will step by step extend it to the SDFG shown in the right image.
