Medium Integration

Overview

devb.io automatically imports your Medium blog posts by connecting to your Medium account through your GitHub profile. This integration helps showcase your technical writing and knowledge sharing alongside your development work.

Setup Process

1. Add Medium to GitHub Profile

1. Go to your GitHub profile settings
2. Click on your profile picture → "Settings"
3. Select "Profile" from the left sidebar
4. Scroll to "Bio" section

Format Options

You can add your Medium profile in any of these formats:

medium.com/@your-username
@your-username
your-username

What Gets Imported

Once connected, devb.io will import Your published articles to your devb.io profile

Update Cycle

Important: Changes to your Medium profile or new blog posts may take up to 1 week to appear on your devb.io profile. This includes:

• New blog posts
• Updated articles
• Profile changes
• Publication changes

Best Practices

1. Profile Consistency

   • Use the same username across platforms
   • Keep your Medium profile public
   • Regularly publish content

2. Content Quality

   • Write technical articles
   • Use proper formatting
   • Include code snippets where relevant
   • Add relevant tags

Troubleshooting

1. Articles Not Appearing

   • Verify your Medium username in GitHub profile
   • Check if articles are publicly accessible
   • Wait for the weekly update cycle
   • Ensure articles are published (not drafts)

2. Profile Not Linking

   • Double-check the username format
   • Make sure your Medium profile is public
   • Verify the profile URL is correct
