…failures. multi handling changed; see https://dev.mysql.com/doc/relnotes/connector-python/en/news-9-2-0.html our setUp method that was doing some monkey-patching wasn't safe if super().setUp() raised, which it did because the multi= kw arg went away and started raising a TypeError.
Waiting for zopefoundation/persistent#221 to be released.

And cleaning up some general bitrot. I'll merge once I have green CIs -- manylinux and Windows are slow, but I'm not anticipating any problems.
