Auto Connect

Auto-Connect automatically creates belt, pipe, and power connections when you place distributors, junctions, or power poles near compatible buildings.
When enabled, Auto-Connect:
- Detects nearby buildings with compatible connectors
- Creates belt/pipe/power connections automatically
- Shows preview holograms before you place
- Works with scaling for instant manifold setups
- Splitters/Mergers → Production Buildings
- Splitters/Mergers → Other Splitters/Mergers (manifolds)
- Pipeline Junctions → Production Buildings
- Pipeline Junctions → Other Junctions (manifolds)
- Power Poles → Buildings
- Power Poles → Other Power Poles (grids)

Settings can be adjusted via keybinds (hold U) or the Smart! Panel (press K).
- Enable/Disable — Turn belt auto-connect on/off
- Main Tier — Belt tier for distributor-to-distributor connections (Auto or Mk.1-6)
- To Building Tier — Belt tier for distributor-to-building connections (Auto or Mk.1-6)
- Chain — Connect distributors to each other in a chain (manifold)
- Enable/Disable — Turn pipe auto-connect on/off
- Main Tier — Pipe tier for junction-to-junction connections (Auto or Mk.1-2)
- To Building Tier — Pipe tier for junction-to-building connections (Auto or Mk.1-2)
- Flow Indicator — Use pipes with flow indicators (only available after unlocking clean pipes)
- Enable/Disable — Turn power auto-connect on/off
- Grid Axis — Which axes to connect along (Auto, X only, Y only, X+Y)
- Reserved — Number of connection slots to leave open per pole
The Smart! Panel (K) shows contextual Auto-Connect settings based on what you're aiming:
