The Smart! Panel is a visual settings interface that lets you configure all Smart! options without memorizing keybinds. Press K to open it anytime you have a hologram active.

The Smart! Panel shows all core settings plus contextual sections based on what you're aiming.
- Checkbox at top — Enable for real-time updates as you adjust values
- X, Y, Z SpinBoxes — Enter exact grid counts (slider up to 100, type for higher)
- +/- Direction Toggles — Control expansion direction per axis
- Grid Total — Shows total count (e.g., "24 items")
- Grid Warning — Yellow (100+) or Red (500+) warning for large grids
- X, Y, Z SpinBoxes — Gap between items in meters (e.g., 2.0m)
- X SpinBox — Vertical rise per column (meters)
- Y SpinBox — Vertical rise per row (meters)
- X SpinBox — Sideways offset per row (meters)
- Y SpinBox — Forward offset per row (meters)
- ZX SpinBox — Lean forward per column (meters)
- ZY SpinBox — Lean sideways per row (meters)
- Z SpinBox — Degrees of rotation per item (-180° to +180°)

Appears when: Aiming a production building hologram (Constructor, Assembler, etc.)
- Recipe Icon — Shows selected recipe's product
- Recipe Dropdown — All compatible recipes with input/output rates
- Clear Button — Remove recipe selection
- Recipe Details — Per-minute rates and grid totals

Appears when: Aiming a Splitter or Merger hologram
- Enabled checkbox — Turn belt auto-connect on/off
- Main Tier dropdown — Belt tier for distributor chains (Auto, Mk.1-6)
- To Building Tier dropdown — Belt tier for building connections (Auto, Mk.1-6)
- Chain checkbox — Connect distributors to each other
Appears when: Aiming a Pipeline Junction hologram
- Enabled checkbox — Turn pipe auto-connect on/off
- Main Tier dropdown — Pipe tier for junction chains (Auto, Mk.1-2)
- To Building Tier dropdown — Pipe tier for building connections (Auto, Mk.1-2)
- Flow Indicator checkbox — Use pipes with flow indicators (only if clean pipes unlocked)
Appears when: Aiming a Power Pole hologram
- Enabled checkbox — Turn power auto-connect on/off
- Grid Axis dropdown — Which axes to connect along (Auto, X only, Y only, X+Y)
- Reserved dropdown — Connection slots to leave open (0-4)

Changes in the Smart! Panel don't take effect until you apply them:

Note: "Apply Immediately" is automatically disabled for large grids (500+) to prevent performance issues.

Step 1: Place the Constructors
- Select a Constructor hologram
- Press K to open Smart! Panel
- Set X = 8 in the SpinBox
- Select Iron Plate from recipe dropdown
- Click Apply
- Place your 8 Constructors
Step 2: Add Auto-Connected Distributors
- Select a Splitter hologram
- Press K to open Smart! Panel
- Set X = 8 to match your Constructors
- Enable Belt Auto-Connect and set tier
- Click Apply
- Place near your Constructors — belts connect automatically!

Note: Auto-Connect settings are only available when aiming distributors (splitters/mergers), pipeline junctions, or power poles — not production buildings.
- Drag to move — Right-click and drag to reposition the panel
- Escape to cancel — Reverts uncommitted changes and closes
- Enter to apply — Press Enter in any field to apply immediately
- Apply Immediately — Enable checkbox for real-time updates as you adjust
